"I support a well-organized and concerted effort to stop the Elliot State Forest transfer to OSU for academic research and reduced timber harvest. Oregon student rights under the Common School Fund need to be protected, sustainable revenue streams are critical to support public K-12 education. The true value of this forest needs recognized first and foremost."
"I have as a forester over 6 years experience working on the ESF. I am like many many others upset with Oregons Land Board with their decision to decouple the Elliott. Their serious mistake of devaluing the Elliott is terrible. Some 40 years ago I was told at that time the Elliott was valved at approximately one billion dollars. Please keep me informed as we push forward."
"Because former ODF local manager Jerry Phillips is rolling over in his grave after spending his entire career assembling parcels to grow the Elliott State Forest. What Oregon’s Democratic cartel has done is shameful, if not illegal."
"I think it ought to be required by law for the state to pursue all available funding options for public schools BEFORE attempting to increase taxes. If this organization is attempting to hold the state accountable for proper use of of funds then that is reason enough to join."
"I have grandchildren in the Oregon Public School System and believe that it is incumbent on the State Land Board to manage the Common School Land Trust Fund for the maximum financial benefit of all schools and school children in the state. Should the State Land Board decide to sever its relationship as a Trustee of these lands, then it must do so at a value that meets its obligation to maximize the income from such action."
"To hold the Oregon's State Land Board accountable to fund Oregon schools honestly by selling the Elliot State Forest for its true value."
